Cloud Computing
Cloud Computing allows you to quickly expand your ICT on a pay-as-you-go basis. In the current marketplace a distinction is made between Public and Private Clouds.
Public Cloud Computing is all about providing ICT services to external customers via the Internet. The most important advantages consist of scalability, flexibility and ‘Self Service'.
Private Cloud computing has the same advantages, but is run in the company's own datacenter and serves the specific company or its internal customers.
According to Gartner market research consultancy, companies will be investing more in Private Cloud solutions than in Public Cloud solutions in the coming years.
The future of ICT consists of a combination of Private and Public Clouds. Large organisations will maintain an ICT organisation in which ICT is implemented and managed internally, but parts of it will run in the Private Cloud. Depending on the services they wish to provide or purchase, an additional choice will be made for Public Cloud Providers. Private Cloud will pave the way for Public Cloud Services. Until this time, these services will be deployed as hybrid services.
